Charlotte Stone and Tile ("we", "us", "our") operates CharlotteStoneandTile.com. We are not a general contractor, stone fabricator or tile installer, and we do not perform construction work.

2. Information we collect

• Project details you select in the estimator (project type, material preference, project size)
• The date, time and text of the consent language you agreed to
• Anything else you type into a form, email or text message to us

• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Browser type, device type, operating system and screen size
• Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page and referring URL
• Cookie and similar identifiers, including advertising identifiers set by third-party analytics and ad platforms — see our Cookie Policy

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, credit reports or health information. Please do not send us that information.

3. How we use your information

• To generate the non-binding estimate range you requested
• To sell, transfer or share your submission with one or more independent licensed contractors who serve your area so they can contact you about your project
• To contact you ourselves by phone, SMS text message and email about your inquiry
• To verify, deduplicate and score inquiries and prevent fraud or abuse
• To measure advertising performance and improve the website
• To keep records of your consent as required by telemarketing law
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

4. We sell and share your information

This is our core business model and we want it stated plainly. When you submit a form, we disclose your information for monetary consideration to third-party contractors and, in some cases, to other lead marketplaces or aggregators that resell it to contractors. A single submission may be delivered to more than one contractor, and each of them may contact you independently.

Categories of personal information we sell or share: identifiers (name, email, phone, postal ZIP code, IP address), commercial information (the project details and estimate you requested), and internet activity information (which pages and ads led to your submission). We sell or share these categories with home improvement contractors, stone fabricators, tile installers, home services marketplaces, and advertising and analytics partners.

We also disclose information to service providers who work on our behalf: website and database hosting, email and SMS delivery vendors, analytics providers, and customer support tools. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.

We do not control what a contractor does with your information after we transfer it. Once a contractor receives your inquiry, that contractor's own privacy practices govern. If you want a contractor to stop contacting you or to delete your information, you must contact that contractor directly — although we will help you identify who received your inquiry if you ask.

5. Calls, texts and emails

By submitting a form with the consent checkbox, you provide express written consent to be contacted by us and our contractor partners at the number you provided, including by automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS text message. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to any text to opt out of texts, click unsubscribe in any marketing email, or submit a request on our Do Not Call page. Note that opting out with us does not automatically opt you out with a contractor who already received your inquiry.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collected about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of it, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute; we honor requests from all visitors regardless of state.

To exercise any right, email info@charlottestoneandtile.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", call (704) 555-0199, or use our request form. We will verify your request by matching the information you provide against our records and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing.

7. Data retention and security

We retain inquiry records, including consent records, for at least five years to comply with telemarketing recordkeeping requirements and to defend against claims, and longer where a legal hold applies. We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site may link to contractor websites, review platforms and licensing boards. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page; your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
